60-ish with a slice of humble pie
Today was an important day I think.
I rode 60 miles plus or minus a few with a group. Riding with a group is a new thing for me and I have to say that I found it stressful.
The more experienced guys were very helpful and seemed to be able to move up and back at will. They reminded me of the tough guys in the army moving up and down the line on the long marches. I was one of those then, but I could barely hang on the back today.
Maybe it was the 14 yesterday, or maybe it was the spookiness of riding right on someone's back wheel, or maybe it was not knowing when the next up or down hill would show up; either way, I was redlining.
I am cleaned up now, so I guess I am stronger for it.

60 miles with a group is tough. What kind of pace and time did you do it in, and how many miles in did you lose the peloton?

Welcome Monk!!!
I got shot out the back with about 5 to go. Word is they pace-lined at about 28, which was too much for me at that point.
